John "Jack" McCabe, age 77, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away at home on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Jack was born in Miami, Florida, and soon thereafter moved to Spring Lake, New Jersey. He was drafted into the Army after graduating high school and served his country in Vietnam. He was severely wounded 6 months after arriving overseas. Never a quitter, he relocated to Florida after multiple surgeries and hospitalizations to attend Embry Riddle University where he graduated with a B.A. and Masters Degree in Aviation Management. It was during this time he met his wife, Aneise. They married in 1974 and were blessed with 2 sons, Joseph and Jeffrey. The family grew to include Joseph's daughter, Kaley, great granddaughter Sofia, as well as Jeffrey's wife, Colleen, and their children John, Brianna, and Ashley.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, beginning at 10 am at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home - Port Orange, 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange FL 32129. Military honors will be rendered.
