

John James Theodore, 67, of Daytona Beach FL passed away the afternoon of July 8th, 2026 after a battle with cancer. Born in Lakewood, Ohio, John was the son of John G. and Helen M. Theodore. He went to Cleveland State, was employed by Ford Auto company and later by CSX Railroad as a mechanic for over two decades. Always one to live life his own way, on his terms, John tried not to stress over little details, preferring to focus on his pride and joy, his family.
A history buff, he also enjoyed putting together airplane and tank models, watching history movies alongside his cats, Nick and Holly, but more so teaching practical skills to those around him while maintaining a sense of humor and appreciation for practical jokes.
Music was important to John, and he loved listening to jazz, rock & roll music, TSO and Mannheim Steamroller. He loved going to the beach, watching many sunrises and sunsets with his wife and family
He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, and sister Elaine Moon. His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Karen, daughter Nicole Theodore, son Ronnie Nixon, and daughter Johnna Nixon, along with sister, Chris Theodore.
Services will be held at a later date.
