Joyce Beverly Rackauskis, age 86, of S Daytona, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Joyce was born January 4, 1932, in Elmira, New York to her loving parents Perry and Gladys Scudder. She was one of 6 children; including her identical twin sister “Janice” and identical twin brothers “Ernie" and “Gordon."
Joyce graduated from Mount Vernon High School, New York, in 1948 and then went on to be a secretary for the FBI, in Washington, D.C. Some of her loves were being an avid Florida Gator fan, flying in airplanes and helicopters, going on cruises, parasailing and “tandem” sky diving, yard sales, attending church services at Tomoka Christian Church, in Ormond Beach, FL, doing art work, drawing and sketching pictures and her loving dog,Tobie. Some things that made her smile and laugh most were spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her daughters Jo Anderson, Judie Bass, Mary Rackauskis, Patricia Rackauskis and her son Michael Rackauskis, seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 4815 S Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange, Florida 32129. A committal will occur Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 1:30 PM at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
