Lois Hall LaRosso

Lois Hall LaRosso, 91, of Daytona Beach Shores, passed away Saturday December 3, 2011. She was born on June 14, 1920 in Cornwall, NY daughter of the late Helen (Hall) and Richard Strassburg. After her husband retired in 1979 they moved from Kerhonkson, NY and settled in Port Orange. A homemaker, loving wife and mother, she enjoyed writing, dancing, knitting, and crocheting. She loved animals especially horses and cats. Her family will always remember the wonderful cook she was. Left to cherish her memory are her, daughters Lois Jean LaRosso and Paula A. LaRosso both of Daytona Beach Shores, son Michael R. LaRosso of Daytona Beach; cousin, Meg Curry and her husband Carl Wood of Poughkeepsie, NY and her brother in law William Curry of Newburgh, NY. Her husband Michael A. predeceased her. The family will celebrate her life by receiving friends Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Condolences may be shared with the family at Arrangements under the direction of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange, FL.
