Lola S. Canupp
October 15, 1932 – June 25, 2020
Lola Stine Canupp, age 87, passed away peacefully June 25, 2020, due to complications related to lung cancer. She was born October 15, 1932, in Toler, Kentucky to Arnold and Leola Bevins. She married her husband, James Reece Canupp, on March 15, 1952, who preceded her in death in January 2019.
Lola had a nearly photographic memory for the events and people that touched her life and enjoyed recounting these memories to her family and friends. Before moving to Edgewater, Florida, in 2008, she and James lived in Orlando since 1973. Lola loved cooking, but nothing beat a simple pan of homemade cornbread and beans. For many years Lola volunteered at the Presbyterian Church in Orlando where she and James attended. Family and friends were more important than anything to her and she prided herself on keeping in touch with people close to her through the years. One of her loves was picking out the perfect birthday, anniversary, Thanksgiving and Christmas card for her friends, relatives, children, and grandchildren who called her "Nana."
Lola is survived by her sister, Deborah Waller of Dandridge, Tennessee, her brother-in-law Jeff Waller; her children, Vida Simpson, Rodney Canupp, Jeffery Canupp, her son-in-law Michael Simpson, daughter-in-law Robin Canupp; grandchildren, Jadron Smith, Abra Smith, Kyle Canupp, Sarah Canupp; and great-grandchildren, Mollie Smith, Alleigh Canupp, Mackenzie Canupp, and Ryder Canupp.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Lola's name to Halifax Hospice, Southeast Volusia Care Center, 4140 South Ridgewood Avenue, Edgewater, FL 32141.

I was Lola's computer guru. She was such a sweet lady. I totally enjoyed my time visiting with her when she needed computer help. She'll be missed.

I have known Bug since I was 6 years old and she was 10. We were neighbors at Toler with only one house between us until we both married and left home. All these years we have known where each other was although we were many miles apart. Bug was like a sister, and she was a big part of my Blackburn family, She was included in our vacations and family get togethers. I am so sad, and my heart is so heavy that she has passed away, but some sweet day there will be a resurrection and reunion in Heaven. My love and sympathy are extended to the family. May God give each of you His blessings and peace.
