On Friday, April 30, 2021, Lorraine Flanagan left this life. Lorraine lived in New Jersey for about 40 years and then called Port Orange, Florida, home for the next 43 years.

Lorraine was the media director at Venet Advertising Company on Madison Avenue in New York, N.Y. and then the proud owner/proprietor of L. Shultze & Co. Advertising Agency in New York City, New York. She loved to travel especially internationally. One of her passions was growing award winning orchids. She was a fine cook who enjoyed sharing her meals with her neighbors.

My Dear Lorraine. I will miss you so much my dear, sweet friend. We met over 30 years ago, by chance, on the phone, when I purchased Floral Labels from you and we became fast phone friends. We would catch up several times each year and always picked up like we had just seen each other only yesterday. Yet, we only met just once in person, when my family took a vacation to Disney World about 25 years ago and my husband and I were lucky enough to meet with you for lunch. That was such a great day and we talked for hours. We have kept in touch ever since. I'm so sorry the past several months have been so difficult for you and I'm so glad that you are now out of pain and in the arms of your loving husband, Tom, so happy with your fur babies all around you. I will really miss you, my dear friend. I will miss our phone calls and I will really miss your special friendship. May you Rest in Peace and Love, My Special Friend, Lorraine. 💖🙏 With Love from Your California Friend, Sharron Lockwood

Dearest friend.
You're going to be missed dearly. We hadn't seen each other is 25 years but phone calls wiped away all the years in the blink of an eye. Now we need to find someone to pester on Saturday afternoons. I know that you are now with our Lord, Tom, many dear friends in God's Heavenly Kingdom. We will miss you but have a boatload of memories to tap into.
Thank you for being a special friend.
Love: Bill & Penny Lehto

I often signed our cards to Lorraine with "thanks for loving us." Lorraine was my husband's Godmother. They were second cousins. She treated us more like her children. I dare say my husband felt more akin to her then to his own parents. We were warmed by how she delighted in our children and then our grandchildren. She was their Oma or as our daughter lovingly referred to her, Omie. Lorraine was an impressive and accomplished woman. She loved to travel. Lorraine traveled solo to Europe as a very young woman. Lorraine broke ground as one of the few women to own an advertising agency in New York. Have you ever watched an episode of madmen? That was her business world. She grew award winning orchids. Lorraine was a thoughtful friend and good cook. She liked sharing one of her home cooked meals with friends and neighbors. She was cherished greatly by her loving parents and then by her dear husband Tom. Lorraine always made us feel special and loved. Rest in peace in the warm arms of those who have passed before you, your parents and sister, Tom and each of your treasured and pampered pups. Thanks for loving us Lorraine! You will be missed.

Lorraine has had such an impact on my life, even though I only had the pleasure to know her a short period of time. She was feisty, strong willed and one of the most caring people I have know. She instantly became family to me and I will miss her. Lorraine, I love you and I’ll miss you.

Lorraine is one of the most strong, beautiful, genuine souls I have ever had the experience of meeting. She has since day one become such a big impact in my life and instantly felt like family and has become family. Even though I’ve only had a short time with her, heaven has gained a memorable Angel and for ever blessed to have her in my life.
