Luke grew up in Port Orange where he started to build his close network of friends that would last him a lifetime. Luke always brought positivity, happiness, and fun to the situation. His kindness and generosity was seen by anyone who crossed paths with Luke and was always there to help out a friend, or even a total stranger, in times of need.
From riding BMX bikes around the neighborhood to building ramps in the front yard to eventually riding dirt bikes and motorcycles, Luke always loved the freedom to ride from place to place, and there was no stopping him. His adventurous life always kept Luke on the move and allowed him to explore the world.
His love of life steered him to “blaze” his own trail, he took many risks earning his livelihood, and spontaneously adventured the world in his 26 short years. He recently had the trip of a lifetime with Bri, the love of his life, and her family; the stories and pictures from this trip will live on forever. He lived life on the edge, pushing limits, and never lived with regrets. He always said he would live to be 100 years old with his crazy holistic lifestyle, bizarre remedies, and his trusty massage gun. No matter how "out of this world" his advice was, we all trusted and believed anything he said. He had a spirit and imagination larger than this dimension.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Edythe Smith; his older sister, Tiffany Smith; his twin sister, Caitlyn Rose Neibarger; his brother-in-law (step bro), Dakota Neibarger; his girlfriend and life partner, Brianna Cosimi; and so many lifelong friends and family. Luke is predeceased by his nana, Karen Coleman, his Uncle Jim, James Coleman, and Dakota’s brother, Joshua Ellis. Luke is looking over us all and is in the safety and comfort of our loved ones.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 12th, from 6 pm-9 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home on 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. His Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13th, at 11 am at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home on Clyde Morris Blvd. We hope anyone who knew and loved Luke will be able to attend.
In this devasting time, no one thinks this will happen to them or their family. Please take a moment to slow down, be with family, and reflect on your life. Live lavishly, live fully, but live with caution as life is delicate.
