Aunt Martha, Lord I wish we were back in the day when all of the cousins would be in Daytona Beach at yours and Dan’s home having more fun than you can imagine. Your paper route and Dan working at Sears in the camera Department. Y’all  made life fun while we were there. Best aunt,  parent and daughter anyone can imagine. Danny and Michael my condolences from cousin Sandy.

Martha was undoubtedly one of the most caring, kind and compassionate individuals I have ever known.     Having worked for Martha starting in high school and for a decade afterwards was such a pleasure and one of the most enjoyable experiences in my life.   Martha was a loving mother and wife and shared her love with all whom she was around.    She was a wonderful mentor and had tireless energy in helping young folks develop their skills and expand their horizons.    She did this all from her heart and her concern for others was so genuine, everyone loved her.   I think back and remember numerous times when me and her other employees went to her and planned to address her by her name, but Mom came out by accident.    She would just look up from her desk and smile broadly.     Most people may not know how she created opportunities for the youth of the community.   She arranged and supervised trips for children all around the United States.     Due to Martha's efforts, these children got to experience snow skiing, Six Flags over Georgia, the World's Fair, and more trips to Disney than can be counted.   Children (at that time) such as Tina,  Colleen, Chris and of course, Harvey,  as well as probably over 100 others, got to experience places that would not have happened without her.   Martha had a great sense of humor.   She had a talent of making all of us laugh  and we all would laugh so much, that we looked forward to going to work just to see what the next day would bring.   I laugh to this day about  "Turn right Grandma" and "We ain't got no gun".    My deepest sympathies to Michael and Danny and their families, whom she cherished.   Martha has left a legacy of a wonderful family and she made a difference in the lives of so many of others that she made feel like family.    

My sincere sympathies to Danny & all the family.  While it must be so hard to say good-bye to both of them so close together I hope there is some comfort knowing Mrs. Sims didn’t have to mourn Mr. Sims for long before joining him.  My thoughts & prayers are with you.

Dan and Martha were our neighbors of many years. I’d walk by their house several times a week with my dog and they were always friendly and talkative. They would sit out on their front porch, and once Dan knew Martha was comfortable, he would tinker around the yard.  Dan would pull over in front of our house and chat for a while. Everyone knew them and loved them.  They will be so missed by all of us. Our sincere sympathy to all their family and friends. Karen and jack
