Michaelene Cecilia Finley, age 68, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Sunday September 9, 2018. She was born November 1, 1949 in Hammond, IN, to her loving parents Leonard and Lillian (Bialogowicz) White.
Michaelene lived for her family, she loved fun, and she loved to plan for the next big adventure. She enjoyed special moments at the theme parks and on vacation with her family. She also loved capturing the perfect Madeira Beach sunset. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren Caleb and Olivia, as they brought her the most joy. When asked what made her laugh, she would agree that spoiling her bestest pals (fur babies) Finn, Monte and Bailey. She would say that the most important thing she learned in life, besides learning from her dad to play to win, she also learned that family and friends are life's best reward. Michaelene would want her legacy to be remembered for devoting her life to receiving her "P.H.Ts" - putting him and her through (college) degrees, and watching her family have rewarding and successful careers and families. Michaelene is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Jerry, her son Shawn, his wife Melissa, grandchildren Olivia and Caleb and her daughter Shannon.
A Visitation and Celebration Service for Michaelene will be held Friday, September 14, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 S Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange, Florida 32129. The Funeral Mass will occur Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette Street, Port Orange, FL 32127 with a committal service to follow at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
