Norman L. Reid Jr., 67, passed away peacefully at his home in Daytona Beach Shores on November 30, 2016. Norman was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, and moved to Daytona Beach Shores in 1965. He attended Seabreeze High School and then earned degrees from Stetson University and Florida State University. He began his career as a Volusia County lifeguard and worked most of his career as a realtor. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julia Parrish Reid; sons John and Matthew; daughter-in-law Barbara Reid; and grandson Jackson Reid. He was an avid surfer and musician, and loved spending time at the beach and in the mountains. His family was his proudest accomplishment, and he lived to welcome his first grandchild into the world.
