Orin L. Duffy

We grieve the passing of our Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Orin Lyle Duffy.  He joined our mother, Agnes, on their 70th Wedding Anniversary, on May 10th, 2016. The six children that came from their love have increased our family to 25 with our newest member, Daniel, due any day. In addition to his great grandson Daniel, Orin will be missed greatly by his 5 sons: Orin (Marie) Duffy Jr of Philadelphia, PA, John (Dixie) Duffy of Port Orange, FL, Michael (Pam) Duffy of Oklahoma, Joseph Duffy of Daytona Beach, FL, and Ronald (Jena) Duffy of Palm Coast; daughter, Joanne (Richard) Menard of Daytona Beach; 8 grandchildren: Sarah Duffy, Shawn (Megan) Duffy, Andrea (Alex) Alvarez, Chris Duffy, Kevin Duffy, Kiersten Duffy, Grace Duffy, and Alyssa Duffy; and 7 additional great granchildren: Joshua Duffy, Nicholas Duffy, Elijah Alvarez, Benjamin Alvarez, Madeline Alvarez, Matthew Alvarez, and Jaxson Duffy.   He was a quiet man, and a man of few words who loved and supported his family all his life.  We are happy and thank God that he is now with Our Lord & His Blessed Mother.  We ask you keep him in your prayers.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 9:00am at the Basilica of St. Paul's in Daytona Beach, FL.  The family will receive friends and loved ones at the church for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will take place after the mass in Woodland Cemetery, Port Orange.
