Phyllis H. Lichner, 81, of Port Orange FL passed away early the morning of August 26, 2023. Born in Dothan, AL, Phyllis and her late husband David moved to Florida and resided in the Port Orange area since the late 1980’s. The epitome of a true caregiver, Phyllis was always helping others – whether it be taking care of them physically in their declining years, being a good listener, or being an amazing wonder woman of a role model for her family. She was a girlie girl – loving all things pink (even pigs), including Valentine’s Day decorations. Organized, Phyllis was a business woman, and was a secretary for many years, as well as a bridge tender throughout her time in Florida. She was an incredible sister, mother, grandmother, “Grammy”, and aunt to her family whom she loved dearly.
Left to value the lessons she taught them, including how to best enjoy a filet mignon and good cookout around the bonfire or campsite, are her two brothers: Jimmy and Steve Harrison; son, Michael Colson; granddaughter, Jennifer Hawkins; great-grandsons Nathan and Kingston; best friend, Tracy Barrington, several nieces and nephews and other cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers or a formal service, the family asks that you consider donating your time or care to a garden, children’s organization, or other place in need in honor of Phyllis, and to always pass along a smile or a hug to your loved ones.
