Raymond L Carter, 61, of Port Orange, passed away at home, Friday, February 24, 2017. Raymond was born in Germany son of Lucy and the late Delmar Carter and has been a long time resident of this area. He was an avid Harley Rider and enjoyed riding his bike. For many years he worked as a self-employed mechanic. A talented guitarist, Ray love to play and write songs and recently he was teaching himself graphic design. His family will always remember his outgoing personality and his love for a good joke. Beside his mother Lucy, Raymond is survived by his son, Danny and his wife Amanda of Port Orange; sister, Ann Reese and her husband Fred of Melbourne FL and four nieces and nephews, Carol Vajanyi, Garry Reese, Kimberlie Denham and Robert Reese. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange.
