

Robert E. McClure, 78 of South Daytona, passed away July 5, 2012. A retired Master Sargent, Robert honorably served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. He was a decorated war veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam wars and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. After the service Bob put together a band “The Bob McClure and Country Fever “and they traveled and performed out west. A resident of this area for over 20 years, Bob enjoyed being around family and friends, spending time shooting pool, singing and he loved to ride his Harley. His memberships include VFW Post 1590, American Legion and the South Daytona Moose Club. He was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church of South Daytona. He was predeceased by one son Robbie McClure. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 31 years Peggy; sons Eddie (Destine) Puckett and Jim McClure; daughter Amber (Vicland) Sergeant; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grand children. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 11, 2012 at 1st Baptist Church of South Daytona 2197 Kenilworth Avenue, South Daytona.
