Ronald D. Schumacher, 85, of Port Orange FL passed away the evening of February 5, 2018. A real estate owner and investor, Ronald also found enjoyment in fishing, cars, and polka - both dancing and playing in his band, Ronnie & the Polkadots (Traverse, MI). He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and leaves behind a son, Jon (Diana) Schumacher of Traverse, MI; daughter, Mary Schumacher, of Port Orange, FL; sister, Dianne Weavers, of Port Orange, FL; granddaughter, Jennifer; greatniece: Dani Lubbers of California; and partner and longtime companion, Joyce Mealick of Port Orange, FL. Ronald was predeceased by a niece, Laurie Rader.
