Russell was born on March 11, 1942 in Detroit Michigan. He spent his career as a psychologist working with children who had learning difficulties in the state of Michigan . After his retirement he moved to Daytona Beach Shores where continued using his skills helping people. Russ loved the arts including the theater. With his love of mid-century design, he collected furniture and art from local artists. He is survived by his cousins, Doris “Gunar” Lundteigen and Reginald Pyrke.
Friends and family may gather for a viewing Tuesday, September 21st from 1-2pm at Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, 4084 Halifax Dr., Port Orange FL. A Celebration of Russell’s Life will begin at 2pm, with Pastor Rev. Donna Chaote officiating.
