

It’s with sad heart’s that we say our beloved, kind hearted son and good friend, Scott, age 31 passed away suddenly on January 31, 2015. Scott was born at Halifax Hospital September 15, 1983. He spent his life in Port Orange until he bought his home and moved to Palm Coast in 2012. Scott attended Horizon and Sugar Mill Elementary, Silver Sands Middle School and graduated high school with honors from Spruce Creek High in 2002. Scott went on to earn his Bachelors from UCF in 2006. Scott was an employee of Infinity Reinforcing, Inc. for the past 7 years and a foreman for the past 2 years. Scott was a lifelong Florida Gator fan. He loved fishing with his parents and Tim and Mac. He was active in his youth playing recreational sports in Port Orange, South Daytona, and Pop Warner football. Whether Scott was grilling, fishing, or listening to music, he was always enjoying life. Scott treasured and kept many dear friends in his short life. Scott is survived by his mother and father, Mary Ann and Howie Johnson of Port Orange, FL; his twin sister Shannon Thomas (Shane) of Port Orange, FL; and many family members and friends. Scott will be deeply missed by his family and many friends for years to come. “Scootie” we love you and will miss you forever. Scott’s close friends Steve Burke, Ricky Burnett, Chase Conner, Jeremy Drake, Tim Flanagan, Brandon Heitzhaus, Brad Miller and Matt Teschner will serve as pallbearers. Scott’s family will receive family and friends Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 11:00 until 12:30 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, funeral services will start at 12:30 with Rev. Jim Smith officiating, and reception to follow. Interment will take place after the reception at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, FL.
