Sonia L. Feniello

Sonia Feniello, 83, of New Smyrna Beach, FL. passed away on August 19, 2024, at AdventHealth Hospital in New Smyrna Beach.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. in Port Orange at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with service to follow at 1 p.m.

Sonia was born and raised in Staten Island, New York, and resided there until 2000 when she and Michael moved to New Smyrna Beach. After graduating from Port Richmond High School, Sonia worked for Bankers Trust-Wall Street, States, Marine, Broad Street. Then as a secretary/ bookkeeper for Dr. Wrobel, periodontist, Staten Island, N.Y. until 2000 when she retired to Florida.

Sonia also attended Mt. Carmel St. Benedict Church and was active in Mt. Carmel School including PTA President for 2 years.

Sonia enjoyed ceramics, the beach, spending time in Lake George with family, cooking, reading, the Hallmark channel, General Hospital, cruises and boating with friends on the “Oreo”.

Sonia was preceded in death by her husband Michael of 50 years, sister Karen Sciacovelli (Tony), brother George Ludwigsen (Grace), brother Charles Dehart (Gayle), sister Julia Esser(Alfred). Sonia was a devoted daughter, sister, loving wife, mother and proud grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Feniello, Jodi Maniscalco and son-in-law Frank of Edgewater, grandchildren Christopher, Larissa and Ethan, sister Lillian Luca, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler at 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
