

When Ted was 6 his dream was to join the Navy. At 19 he signed up and traveled both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. When stationed in Germany he met the love of his life, GoldieMae Steinberger who was with the Army. They married, came back to the states and had two children, Jacqueline (Jackie) Stippich and Theodore (Theo) Stippich, Jr. He served his country proudly for 9 years.
He made his life in Maryland pursuing a career in the insurance industry for 34 years. The mission he lived out was to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and shelter the homeless. He did this by being actively involved in his community. Some highlights – an election officer for 20 years, read for the blind 26 years, was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Maryland Club and the Rotary Club for 47 years.
When Ted retired, he moved to Florida where he loved the beaches, the sunshine and the heat! He golfed, read mysteries, put puzzles together and volunteered. He had a contagious smile and laugh that made everyone around him light up.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, brother, wife and son. He leaves behind his daughter Jackie, his best friend Mark and loving neighbor Shirley.
A celebration of his life will be held on October 1st at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Port Orange, Florida. A reception will beat 12:00pm, followed by a service at 1:00pm.
