Walter C. Mack 75, of Daytona Beach, FL and Troy, NY passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 surrounded by his family at Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange, FL. He was born in Troy, NY son of the late Walter and Florence (Pratt) Mack. Walter was a long time employee of Matthew Bender Law Books Company in NY and after retirement he worked for LaSalle Institute Alumni Affairs Department. A giant N Y Yankee Fan and avid golfer Walter was a member of Pelican Bay County Club and several other golf groups in the area and he loved sitting out and listening to the rain in his screen room on the 14 the fairway. He also was a member of Crossroads Church.Walter was a proud father and grandfather who enjoyed sharing the accomplishments of his family. One of his favorite sayings was a quote from Dr. Seuss “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” He will always be remembered for his proud caring nature and for being a loving Papa. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Helen; son Christopher and his wife Karli Mack and grandsons James Everett Mack and Henry William Mack. The family will receive friends 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm , Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange, FL.
