With great sadness, we share with you the passing of William (Whipper) James Swan. Whipper has finished his challenging fifteen year journey with Lou Gehrigs (ALS) and will now enjoy his new life with Jesus. During his final quarter in the fight against his opponent, Lou Gehrigs (ALS), Whipper was blessed to say goodbye to his two sons, Michael and Mark, before returning home where he passed holding hands with his wife, Toni, of fifty years, and his daughter, Monique (Miki). Whipper will be so missed by all his friends and family, especially his loving grandchildren and his two daughters-in-law, Patty and Zoe. He will be remembered for his love for gathering with friends and family and enjoying stories and laughter. Whipper was a warrior on and off the field; a man who knew that success was the result of commitment, determination, and passion for those ventures he engaged in. He only wanted the very best for his family and demonstrated this through his love and the decisions he made to make a better life for them. Whipper may not be here with us anymore, but his spirit will always be OUR WIND BENEATH OUR WINGS forever. Godspeed, Whipper and may you enjoy your golf game in Heaven - Swing Easy - love your family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association Florida Chapter, 3242 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, FL 33619-0907. Visitation and services will be in Montreal at Feron's Funeral Home, 1010 Schevchenko Boulevard, LaSalle, Quebec, phone 514-367-1010.
