Alfred S. Pavarini, 92, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away at Treasure Coast Hospice on Friday, September 25, 2020 after a brief illness.
Alfred (Al) was born in New York City on August 15, 1928, son of the late Peter and Rose (Sacco) Pavarini. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Anna Marie (Pertusi) Pavarini, his son and daughter-in-law Peter and Colleen (Wulf) Pavarini of Powell, Ohio and his daughter and son-in-law Joanne (Pavarini) and Michael Gilligan of Charlotte, NC.
He is also survived by his four grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren: Kara Gilligan of Kauai, Hawaii; Krista (Gilligan) and Matthew Young, and their children Jackson and Austin Young of Charlotte, NC; David Pavarini and Morgan McAuley and their children Mason McAuley and Mia Grace Pavarini of Powell, OH; and John Pavarini of Whitefish, Montana.
Al served with the U.S. Army from 1946-1948 with the occupational forces in Korea, which allowed him to use his talents as an army musician.
Al attended City College of New York and studied civil engineering, then entered a forty-year career as a project manager for large commercial and civil construction projects in New York and Florida.
Al loved music, bicycling, and cooking and he and his wife enjoyed extensive travel in the U.S., the Caribbean, and Europe. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for 17 years.
Friends may call at Aycock Life Celebration Center, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987 on Tuesday September 29 from 4:30 - 7:30PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday morning at 10AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 350 NW California Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34986.
