Benjamin Caraballo

Benjamin Caraballo, 82, of Port St. Lucie, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Benjamin was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the twenty years coming from Miami, FL. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lydia Caraballo; one sister, Hilda Nereida Gonzalez and his brother, Frank C. Martinez. Survivors include his two daughters Yazmin (Felix) Pagan of El Paso, TX; Wanda (Michael) Durovick of Plano, TX; two sons, Benjamin (Rhodes) Caraballo of Hollywood, FL; Carvin (Penny) Caraballo of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Susana Alberty of South Bridge, MA; Josephine Caraballo of Holyoke, MA; Eladia “June” LaBoy of Mesa, AZ; two brothers, Rene (Lucy) of Holyoke, MA; Gorge “George” Caraballo of Uxbridge, MA; three grandchildren and one great grandson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 pm, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983, Tel # (772) 879-9300. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
