Blanca Nieves Lopez was born in 1932 in Camajuaní, Villa Clara Province, Cuba to Luciano Perez and Segunda Lorenzo. Blanca worked as a school teacher before moving to the United States in 1971 with her husband and two children. To be closer to family, she moved to Port St. Lucie in October 2015, having lived in Miami for 43 years prior. Blanca had many hobbies: playing with her dogs, birdwatching, and as an avid baseball fan, enjoyed watching her favorite team the Miami Marlins. Above all else though, she cherished nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends. She treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was always willing to offer wisdom and guidance to her family, offering a comforting word and a warm embrace in times of need. Blanca will be forever missed, leaving a hole that can never be filled. Her family, however, take solace in knowing she is now reunited with her husband of 39 years, Ibrahin, who passed in 1998. She is survived by her son, Ibrahim Lopez; daughter, Isela Loper (David Loper); grandchildren, Melissa J. Garcia (Daniel Garcia), Jason L. Lopez, Brittney A. Lopez, Kathleen V. Dagata, Kristen A. Loper, and Brenda E. Loper; great grandchildren, Elise A. Garcia, Brantley E. L. Becker, and Lucas J. Wilson; sisters, Elia Perez and Ilda Perez; and many other loving family members and friends. Services private.
