

Chuck was devoted to and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan, as well as a loving father to their six children; Brad, Kristy, Greg, Danny, Nick and Mark. Chuck also leaves a legacy through his seventeen adoring grandchildren, the pinnacle of his life’s purpose.
Growing up in Cleveland, Chuck was the oldest of three, and is also survived by his younger sister Kathi, while his brother Philip previously passed. Chuck graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an Undergraduate and Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1965 and 1967, respectively. Chuck was part of the Navy ROTC program at Notre Dame ultimately reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. He was also a member of the Notre Dame swim team during his freshman year at Notre Dame. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in July 1969 after teaching post-graduate school in Monterey, California where he met Susan, then an elementary school teacher. Chuck also obtained an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut in 1972.
Chuck spent his entire 35-year career at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft where he was awarded multiple jet engine patents and ultimately ended his career with many accomplishments within the Strategic Planning group. While away from Pratt & Whitney Chuck devoted his time to his family, notably coaching tennis and 17 years as a little league baseball coach for all his children.
Chuck retired in 2005, relocating to Port Saint Lucie, FL where they spent time with their kids, grandchildren and friends. Chuck was a devout member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where he volunteered a great deal of time including leading the Lector Ministry. Chuck spent his remaining free time during retirement as a volunteer with Florida Guardian Ad Litem as the advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned children in court and the community.
