Mr. Alley was my first store manager when I started at Publix in 1981 when the first Publix in Port St. Lucie opened. I was 17 at the time. I remember times when he would answer your questions so seriously and you did not know what to think and then all of a sudden he would give you that grin he had, and you would always think oh thank goodness. I enjoyed working for Mr. Alley and as I am writing this I just retired myself 1/15/21, from Publix after 39 years of service. It was managers like Mr. Alley that made you want to give your all to the company and finally make a career.
I am sorry to hear of Mr. Alley’s passing and my sincere condolences to the entire Alley family. He will be missed.

Don and Dot shared their home with all of us to spend Thanksgiving together. We had a wonderful time! We walked to the duck pond, we ladies went shopping, the guys & children went on the four wheeler. We played a few games of pool. Made happy memories! Don will be remembered and in hearts!
