Dorene Faye Patterson

Dorene Faye (Levy) Patterson, age 76 passed away peacefully on July 11, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Ft Pierce. Dorene is survived by her husband and best friend of 59 years, Robert “Coach P” Patterson. Dorene also leaves behind a beloved Aunt Mary Graham of Port St Lucie. She is preceded in death by her parents Rose (Levy) Josselson and Al Levy. Dorene was born Jan 8, 1940 at Sibley Hospital in Washington D.C. She graduated from Bladensburg HS in 1959, while already dating her best friend Bob. She was employed by NASA and the Navy Department in Crystal City, VA, as a secretary and an Inventory Management Specialist, retiring in the late 1980’s. On May 26, 1962 Dorene and Robert married in Landover, Maryland. They were inseparable partners, friends and lovers from the time they met until her passing. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am -1030 am, Thursday July 14, 2016 at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 350 NW California Blvd, St. Lucie West, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to, HOSPICE of Treasure Coast or MARTHA’s HANDS at St. Bernadette’s Church
