

Elio “Al” Viola was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Richmond Hill, Queens. After a stint in the service married the love of his life, Virginia, and settled in Ozone Park until they purchased their home in Williston Park, Long Island. “Al was the father of three boys, Frank, Michael, and Christopher. He loved all sports but especially baseball and his beloved Dodgers. While playing and enjoying sandlot sports he was especially adept at bowling and for many years was a “scratch bowler” and reached the pinnacle in 1998 when he bowled a perfect 300 game.
Upon retirement Al and Virginia moved to the Kings Isle Community in Port St Lucie, Fl. With his outgoing personality he quickly fit into the community and began bowling again. His persona again gained him a new circle of friends in the community and the bowling center.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, his three sons, Frank, Michael, Chris , and three grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas and Tyler.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 10, 2014, from 9:00 until 10:30am, at Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 10, 11:00am at the St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St Lucie.
In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Byrd, Young and Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie, Fl.
