Jim was an avid woodworker who felt most at home in his garage among his many woodworking tools, and was an accomplished handyman, quick to help friends and neighbors with whatever needed to be fixed.
He cherished his time in the United States Navy and was proudly patriotic. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to desitnations around the world, and loved to play cards. He also was a history buff, and was particulary knowledgeable about World War II.
Jim was predeceased by daughter Virginia Bojalad of Dubois, PA, and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lorene "Sue" Wagner; children Bonnie Wagner of Yorktown, VA; Thomas Wieand of Fountain, MI; and Donna Birdsell of Skippack, PA; sister Marilyn Rae of Greensburg, PA; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and five nieces and nephews.
Jim will receive a Navy burial at sea. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
