

Born in Loris, South Carolina, to Janie Gore and Joe C. Bellamy, Jerry made Florida his home at the age of 13. With a heart for service and a voice for the people, he built a career of dedication and integrity, retiring from Publix after 33 years. Yet his true calling was always found in serving both God and his community.
Jerry leaves behind to mourn his devoted wife of 25 years, Jacqueline Gore; his Brother Michael Rivers, Sister Clara Rivers, Children Jerry (Jennifer) Gore Jr., Jerrica Gore, Avery (Angela) Preston, Yalanda Powell, Elston Powell, Shirelle (Kirkland) Stockhausen, Jacqlyn Powell, Christopher Rene, Uncles Wayne Jarrett, Ernest Jarrett Earl Bellamy, Niece Latoya Rivers, Nephew Kendell Rivers, Cousins a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, church family, and friends who will continue his legacy of love and service.
For more than 20 years, Jerry faithfully Pastored and shepherd of God’s people with compassion, conviction, and unwavering faith. His ministry touched countless lives through his preaching, teaching, mentoring, and presence. Beyond the pulpit, his service extended deep into the community. Jerry served nine years as President of the NAACP of Stuart, sat on the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, was C.E.O of The Hands of Hope Community Development local food pantry, and participated in quarterly neighborhood community cleanup.
Known as a true people person, he never met any strangers. Jerry lived by the values of humility, truth, and showing up for others. His life was a testimony of hope, purpose, and faith in action. Jerry was a provider and a very humble man.
He will be remembered not only as a pastor and leader, but as a husband, father, son, brother, mentor, and friend whose light shined brightly in every space he entered.
