Joan C. Gleason, 79, a resident of Port St. Lucie, departed this life Thursday, September 1, 2016. Mrs. Gleason is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Gleason; children, Diana Cleveland, Thomas Gleason, Mark Gleason, John Gleason, and Joanna Macaluso; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Mrs. Gleason met her husband, Thomas, when they were eight years old. They were married for sixty years and never parted. She put family first and was a loving mother, great leader, great worker, loved life and Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, at Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore BLVD, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
