Dear Dowd family,
I just learned of John's death. I am really sorry you lost him. I am a yacht Capt. and John and I have been friends a long time. He was always there for me to clean the bottom for a trip or do a prop change. Sometimes we would sit in the dockmasters office and talk football. I know his health was not great the last couple of years. He stayed upbeat and kept a positive attitude. He was not a guy to complain.
Rest in peace John !

I have many fond memories of John and his shenanigans. What a great guy. We will miss you JD.

He was my Confirmation sponsor. Don’t tell anyone I don’t want to tarnish his reputation with the folks at The Pearly Gates.

Dear Nancy, Ryan, and Dowd Family,
We were very sorry to hear the sad news about John. Over Easter, we were recalling the memories of his tale of telling Steve he was going to accompany the Easter Bunny on his journey...and when Steve woke up at 4 am and couldn’t find his basket, he called to ask John where he hid it! We have many good memories and John will be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. The Myron Family
