John J. McLaughlin

John J. McLaughlin, 68, of Port St. Lucie, passed away, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Treasure Coast Hospice residence in Ft. Pierce, FL. John was born in Norfolk, VA. He has been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past ten years coming from Iwakuni, Japan. He served in the United States Navy and Air Force during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Maria Teresa Barastain of Port St. Lucie, FL; three sons, Mark McLaughlin of Ketterbach, Germany; Manuel “Manolo” Silva of McKinney, TX; Sean McLaughlin of Statesboro, GA; four brothers, Paul McLaughlin of Fernley, NV; Jerry McLaughlin of San Diego, CA; Stephen McLaughlin of Raleigh, NC; David McLaughlin of Kona, Hawaii; four sisters, Christine Fortin, Patricia Cobbs, Jane McLaughlin, Barbara Ord all of San Diego, CA, and three grandchildren. A Gathering will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm in our chapel.
