Port St. Lucie, FL - Joyce K. (Loughlin) Anatra, 80, a Florida resident for the last 18 years, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late William and Mae Loughlin, she was educated and graduated from Hicksville High School. A longtime resident of Long Island, NY, Joyce was a caring homemaker and local business owner. From owning pizzerias and bars to years as a pharmacy tech, Joyce wore many hats in her professional career alongside her beloved husband of 61 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Joyce nurtured relationships with loved ones and brought beauty to her surroundings. These loving attributes manifested in maintaining beautiful garden scenes and teaching the art of preparing home-cooked meals second to none.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Luigi Anatra, her daughter and son-in-law Marie and John Machesko of Port St. Lucie, FL, and son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Kristin Anatra of Long Island, NY; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother William, sisters Carol, Beverly and Audrey, and her sons Louis and Thomas.
A Visitation for Joyce will take place on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987.
