Julia Michelle Renken, 20 yrs, of Fort Pierce, FL passed away on April 10, 2018 in Orlando, FL. Born in West Palm Beach, FL, Julia was a resident of Port St. Lucie before moving to Fort Pierce a little over a year ago. She was a graduate of Penn Foster Home School and had just recently graduated with her degree in Medical Assisting. In her younger years, Julia volunteered in area nursing homes, and more recently, was employed by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. She took great pride in teaching and helping young children.

Julia would light up the room with her smile, and she had such a kind and loving heart. Everyone loved her! She was in love with her fiancé, Alaan, and dog Izzy (daughter). Julia enjoyed the simple life, and making new friends. At times, when visiting her fiancé's family, she was elated by their love for her and was included in every event. Julia loved cross word puzzles, card games and domino's and mostly enjoyed Bahamian dishes. She liked going to the beach, stargazing, meditation and nature walks. Julia quickly became the life of every gathering, and was very special to all of us. She will always be loved and truly missed.

She is survived her parents, David and Alicia Renken of Port St. Lucie; brother, Zachary Renken of Port St. Lucie; fiancé and love of her life, Alaan Smith of Fort Pierce; paternal grandparents, Connie and John Renken; aunts and uncles, Alan (Julie), Johnny (Karen), Joanne (Mike), Carolyn, Lorraine (Tom), Larry (Pep), David (Sandy), Eric (Christine) and Abby (Bob), along with many loving cousins and friends.

Julia was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Lora and Howard Passin.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 20 from 2:00-4:00PM with a memorial service to begin at 3:00PM at Aycock at Tradition in Port St. Lucie FL.

My dear Julia. My dear niece. Sassy, warm and funny and full of personality. We shared so many experiences when she was growing up. Whether hanging out with Mom (Grandma Lora for her) or going on a mission to look at Wheaten Terriers in Jupiter or having take-out coffee at Starbucks, Julia and I were best buds. I'll always remember how hard she hugged me when I came in from Spain. A deep long hug! Or when we went to the theater in Tampa and she was worried about her hair getting frizzy from the humidity... And then there was her trip to Barcelona with Alicia. We had so many sight-seeing adventures and fantastic small trips but especially, there was so much love and laughs!
Such a short time to have you in my life and such a deep loss for me and all of us who loved you.

Dear Alicia, Dave and Zach,

While no words will provide the comfort to your weighted hearts, may the memory of “Sweet Julia” provide you all with a start to healing.

Life is oh so very precious and the one thing we knew about Julia is that she would not want you all to feel the pain of her passing.

Julia was so very special in life; we must all cherish her in her passing. May our prayer for you all be not to forget, but to always remember what an unbelievable person she was each & every day and how she would want us all to remember her.

May she be in heaven with all her passed relatives now gracing them with her love and joy. The same love and joy she provided to us all during her so very brief life, especially to you all who knew her best.

The loss of a child, loss of a sister is not something anyone can prepare for, it is however reality. We pray for you all.

We are and will always be there for you all!

Always in our Hearts!
Eric, Christine, Olivia and Michael

Alicia, Dave and Zack our hearts and prayers go out to you and your whole family. Your sister was a beautiful person inside and out. I can still see her beautiful smile and curly locks of hair. She loved to laugh. I know you will truly miss her and life will never be the same without her but stay strong and make her proud. You shall all meet again one day and never doubt her presence around you. God bless Julia 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
