

Born May 7, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey to her parents Arthur & Helen Mercer. She met Theodore Joseph Montagna on a blind date at the Asbury Park boardwalk, was later married on November 9, 1957. Together they began their family in East Orange New Jersey. Later in 1959, the moved to Brick New Jersey in their new home. In 1994 the family moved to the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina and then to Port St. Lucie Florida in 2004. Her loving husband Ted, passed in November 2005, 3 days before their 48th wedding anniversary.
Marilyn loved life and laughter and could light up a room, making friends wherever she went and talked with everyone. She is survived by her 2 four legged furry kids ( dogs) Nikki and Piper, her oldest son Richard Montagna, his wife Ada Montagna and her grandkids Rich Montagna and Christopher Montagna as well as her youngest son, Scott Montagna.
We welcome friends to the Celebration of Marilyn on June 25, 2022 at the Aycock Funeral Home in Tradition at 10:30am, followed by Church services at Elizabeth Anne Seton at noon, then Celebration of Life reception back at the funeral home after.
Flowers are welcome for the services as she loved them so much, however, if you like you can also do a donation to Treasure Coast Hospice.
