Mary Elizabeth Eha (Nichols), age 90, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Raymond and Catherine Nichols. Mary had four brothers and one sister. She was married to Louis Paul Eha for almost 70 years. Louis passed in January of 2024.
Together they had four children: Randy (Maureen), Vickie, Gary (Ginger), and Teri (Max), and lots of dogs and cats.
Mary was a devoted wife, caring mother, and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family deeply and was happiest when they could all be together. Though she suffered from poor health from an early age, she was a fighter at heart and worked very hard to take the best possible care of her family.
Mary was a very talented singer and dancer as a young lady. Her attention to detail made her an excellent artist, gardener, and homemaker. She had a particular talent for decorating her home for special events and holidays. Her home always looked amazing at Christmas time, especially when she would set up and display her Christmas village, which was more like a Christmas city! The house carried the aroma of the season as she and her mother baked cookies and German Stollen in the kitchen and an oak wood fire burned in the fireplace. The sound of Christmas music could always be heard playing on a turntable. Mary made special occasions *special*, and she did it for her family, passing on traditions for future generations.
Mary’s first love was the Lord Jesus Christ, whom she endeavored to follow throughout her life. She loved to read, especially her Bible, which was her most precious earthly possession. She was always ready to share her faith with anyone who would listen.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who all love and miss her very much.
A service for Mary will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 SW Tradition Pkwy, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987, followed by a reception at 12:00 PM.
