

Mary Ann Scerri, 75, of Port St. Lucie, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. Mary Ann was born in Pawla, Malta. She married her loving husband Alfred in Malta and immigrated to the United States in 1968. Braving a new country she found employment with Metropolitan Life Insurance and stayed with them for 25 years. She was a passionate seamstress using her natural gifts, never receiving any formal training. She had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past 23 years coming from Franklin Square, Long Island, NY. She was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church. She enjoyed her peaceful reflection time, always being aware of the beauty that surrounded her. Never one to let personal connections wither, she loved talking to friends and family making sure that the love she had for them was expressed and that she kept informed about their lives. She was predeceased by her parents Carmenu and Carmena Pisani. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Alfred Scerri of Port St. Lucie, FL; one daughter, Dorothy and her husband Jerry Mascolo; her loving son, Ivan and his wife Colleen Scerri; four loving grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She leaves behind a family in both the US and Malta, who deeply loved her and they cherish the time they were able to spend with one another. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:00pm to 7:30 pm at Aycock FH-Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983, Tel # (772) 879-9300. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 3rd. at St. Lucie Catholic Church, 425 SW Irving Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, FL.
