Mary Ann Wardell

MARY ANN WARDELL, 75, of St. Lucie West, answered God’s call to sing in the choir of angels on January 26, 2016. She was the 6th, and last, child born to Michael and Matilda Ajhar. Her mother, father, 4 brothers and sister have awaited her in the promised land. Mary Ann was married to the love of her life, Harry E. Wardell, for 54 wonderful years. Mary Ann was loved by all in Miami, where she was raised, met Harry, and raised her three sons. She and Harry moved to Fort Lauderdale and lived and worked in Weston in their dream home after her children left for college. Finally, the loving couple moved to St. Lucie West where she was adored by all at the Cascades. Mary Ann was an avid singer and had a beautiful and powerful voice. She was never happier than when she was on stage singing to her friends and family. She loved working as a Real Estate Agent and enjoyed the wonderful friends she made at Esslinger, Wooten and Maxwell. Mary Ann is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Harry E. Wardell, her three sons; Phillip M. Wardell, Ronald P. Wardell, James A. Wardell; her three daughter-in-laws; Lisa Wardell, Kaarina Wardell and Manuela Wardell; her grandchildren; Christine M. Mancil, Parker A. Wardell, Garrett P. Wardell, Alexandra Wardell, Trevor J. Wardell, Sean P. Wardell, James A. Wardell, Jr., and new grandson on the way, her great grandchildren; Carter Mancil, Julia Mancil, Jameson Mancil, and her grandson-in-law Jared C. Mancil. Viewing will be held from 10:00 am-11:30am, Friday January 29th at St. James the Apostle Orthodox Church, 2201 S.E. Airoso Blvd. Port St. Lucie, Florida 34984. A Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, January 29th at St. James the Apostle Orthodox Church, 2201 S.E. Airoso Blvd. Port St. Lucie, Florida 34984. Burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 South Kanner Hwy, Stuart, FL 34994. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mary Ann’s favorite charities, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and St. Ignatius Orthodox Church,
