In 1966, Nelida migrated to the United States, and move to Maryland.

Nelida met Michel Pressoir in 1975 and got married in December 1976. Nelida was a very good wife and care for Michel to the end.

She endured seven (7) long months of battling two (2) major strokes. While her strong spirit was willing, her body could not handle the battle any longer.

On Monday, February 08, 2016 at 12:07 A.M. Nelida Pressoir went to sleep at Tiffany Hall Nursing And Rehab Center in Port St Lucie Florida. Nelida Pressoir went to be with the Lord.

Nelida Pressoir is preceded in death by her mother Jergelina Salacci de Martinez; and father Perfecto Martinez.

She survives by her husband Michel Pressoir. Brother: Ovidio Ricardo Martinez; Emir Martinez; Sister: Hilda Martinez de Francisco; Nephew: Franck Martinez; Niece: Blanca Diaz; Sister In Laws: Judy Martinez; Maria Tacla-Brown, Marie Sosthene Pressoir.
