Formerly of Farmington, Michigan. Randy was a graduate of Farmington High School and Western Michigan University. He started his working career at Ford Motor Company, and worked at various locations over 18 years before relocating to Stuart, Florida. Randy then worked at Pratt Whitney Aerospace for 30 years until retirement.
Randy was the beloved husband to his wife of 53 years, Bunny Helvey, and father to Shawn Helvey (Michelle) of Woodstock, GA and Nikole Helvey of Port Saint Lucie, FL. He is survived by his brother Robert Helvey (Gretchen) of Angels Camp, CA and Cindy Stilianos (Demetri) of Howell, MI. Randy was also the proud grandfather to Connor Helvey and uncle to Byant Helvey (Lindsay), Blair Helvey, Jillian Nielsen (Dwight) and Jamie Stilianos.
Randy had several interests during his lifetime. From hunting for turkeys in Michigan to fishing for bass whenever he could be out on a lake, river, or from the bank. He also enjoyed shooting firearms at various local shooting ranges and was a former member of Martin County Sportsman Association for many years.
