A patriot, optimist, and industrious people-person; Russ was a dedicated husband, and fiercely loyal and generous to his friends. He will truly be missed by those whose lives he touched. 

Russ was the kind of person who would help anyone. If you could search "give you the shirt off his back", his photo would come up.
Russ and I had attended Knights of Columbus meetings together, weekend religious retreats together and many simple get-togethers, just for coffee, conversation and a few laughs. 
I will truly miss Russ, as will anyone else who knew him well.  My condolences go out to his family.

Dear Aunt Sandy,   I know that you and Uncle Russ had such a loving, Godly relationship and that you will miss him dearly.   May you cherish all of your wonderful memories together!  Sending love!!


I was very young when Russell and Sandra married--it was the first time in my life that someone was joining the family that I knew growing up. I always remember how easily Russ fit in, how friendly and accepting he was, like he had been there all along. Also remember our anxiety when he went back to Vietnam, waiting for updates to hear that he was OK. We were so relieved when he was home and you guys were able to raise a beautiful family together. A lot of geography got in the way after that, so we mostly lost touch, but I'm thankful we were able to see each other in the 21st century. Our family was blessed to have Russ in it and I'm sure his memory will continue to be a blessing. Lots of love to all of you.
