

Samuel (Sammy) Green, age 87 of Port Saint Lucie, FL passed away at his home on Thursday, September 4, 2014. Samuel Green was born on March 21, 1927 to Anna Gibbs Green and Samuel Green, Sr. in Charleston, South Carolina. At the age of seven, the family relocated to Brooklyn, NY, where Sammy spent his childhood and early adulthood. He was the eldest of 12 children.
He is survived by his wife Roslyn Bernard Green, of Port Saint Lucie, FL and children, Ellen (Richard) Brown, Tanya Green, Schonna Green, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; Cassandra Clark of Jamaica, NY; Corey Green of Sumpter, SC; Grandchildren; Tuana (Thane) Brown-Marlin of Alexandria, Va., Rolanda Brown-Brooks and Delaya Cooper of Laurelton, NY; Richard (Shanqua) Brown III of Boynton Beach, FL.; Michael Green of Port Saint Lucie, FL. and Lionel Clark of Philadelphia, Pa. Brother; Joseph Green of Brooklyn, New York and Sisters; Elaine Green, Deloris Green and Gloria Green all of Brooklyn, New York. In addition, 15 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anna and Samuel Green, Sr., Grandmother, Missy Gibbs; Brothers, William Green, Eugene Green and Harold Green; Sisters, Irene Atkins; Evalena Spikes , Helen Green and
Grandson Melvin Clark, Jr.
