Sara L. Roques, 75, passed away on July 1, 2026. Born on December 27, 1950, Sara was a beloved presence whose steady devotion to those she loved shaped the life of her family and the warmth of every gathering.
A wife, mother, and grandmother, Sara loved her family deeply and showed it in countless, quiet ways—through her generous spirit, her unwavering honesty, and the dependable care she gave so freely. Her love was not only spoken, but lived, day after day, in the way she made others feel seen, welcomed, and safe.
Sara found joy in simple pleasures and shared them with an open hand. She loved cruising and being on the ocean, drawn to the calm horizon and the sense of peace that comes with open water. At home, her care and creativity were evident in her cooking, her green-thumb gardening, and the time she happily spent reading. She also delighted in playing dominoes and in family gatherings, where her presence brought people together and made ordinary moments feel like home.
Sara is survived by her husband, Maximo; her siblings, Olga, Victor, Elsa, Mayra and Teresa; children, Yesenia and her spouse Dana, son, Maximo and his spouse Jaime; grandchildren, Sarah and her spouse Helen, Marisol and her spouse Vincent, Emmanuel and his spouse Kayla, Alexandra, Maximo (Junior), Michael and Jordyn and great granddaughter Isabela. Sara is predeceased by her mother, Carmen Martinez, brother, Cesar Vera, and daughter, Yenitza Roques.
