We just heard Steve went to be with Chester in heaven , dear Karen we are so sad  and we will
Miss him, he was a kind, gentle man always smiling and dancing , we Have so many fond memories.  You always took such great care of Steve .  We are blessed to have had  Steve and you as our friends. Our lives certainly were enriched having known him, we love you

I will miss my cousin, Steve. So many memories throughout my life from when I was a child visiting with him and his family through all our get togethers as adults. He was always so nice and pleasant to be around.

Steve was a beautiful, caring, and loving person. Steve was always the life of the party.   He loved to sing; and when the music started, Steve was the first one on the dance floor. Everyone loved Steve; and Steve loved everyone. I had the privilege of knowing Steve, as my neighbor, for only a few years;         but I felt like I knew him forever. Steve was strong, and always ready, willing, and able to help me, or anyone else that needed help. Steve will be dearly missed; and may he RIP.  I lost a great friend. 💕🥰 Dree

Steve aka “Sargent Stiff” you will always be remembered as the life of the party and a wonderful  neighbor. Your fun loving personality was contagious and will without any doubt be missed. Our lives will be a less fun without you. Enjoy eating ice cream , playing poker and dancing in heaven with Chester.

Steve and Karen have been our dear friends for more than 30 years. As neighbors in RI, we enjoyed cookouts, swimming, holidays  and celebrations, traveling,  story-telling, theater, music, and dancing.
Steve was quick with a smile, an avid gardner, and loved and spoiled his dogs; most recently, Chester.  Steve proudly boasted about his grandchildren, and truly enjoyed his new homes  and activities in FL.  He loved icecream and Italian food, but most of all...home-made cookies. 
Our traditions and happy memories of Steve will forever be part of our family's history. May you rest in oeace sweet friend. We love you.

He was a loving father to: Stephen DeSantis, Dennis DeSantis (wife Patricia) Patricia Lovett (husband Robert) Susan DeSantis (fiancé John Farmwald) and Maria Coley (husband Mark). Grandfather to David Sage, Crystal Lovett, Presley Coley and Autumn DeSantis. He is survived by his sister Sandra Delano of Warwick RI and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents Sando and Lucrezia DeSantis, his brothers: Anthony, William and Albert DeSantis. And his beloved dog Chester.
