Sue was born in Torrington, Connecticut to the late Jacob and Anna Konopeus. She was raised in Broadalbin, New York, where she resided until 1977, when she moved to the Treasure Coast. Susan was of Catholic faith. She enjoyed swimming, gambling at the casinos, and going on cruises. Her passion was her family, most importantly, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue was primarily a homemaker, but later on in life worked at 7-11 and as a server at the Holiday in on Hutchinson Island. In her spare time, Sue enjoyed baking and feeding her neighbors. She was known as the "Cheesecake Queen" .
Sue was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Goodberlet and Thomas A. Quinn; and brothers, Joe, Andy, John, and Mike Hatala.
Survivors include her husband, Guillermo "Bill" Salazar; son, Joe Goodberlet (Cheri), of Palm City, Florida; daughters, Barbara McMurry (Tom), of Kansas and Cheryl Chester (Kenny), of Georgia; grandchildren, Joseph Goodberlet, Holly McFall, Jacon Griffith, and Tyler Griffith; 7 great grandchildren; and siblings, Anna, Mary, Margaret, Steve, Helen, and Anka.
A Celebration of Sues's life will begin at 9:30 am with a service at 10 am on Monday April 23, 2018 at Aycock Funeral Home, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983.
