Thomas Henry “TeeJay” Heinlein passed away in Port St. Lucie, Florida on Saturday, February 8th, 2020. He was born on February 23, 1988 in San Diego, California. He is survived by his parents (Thomas and Karen Heinlein), sister (Dana Heinlein), Paternal Grandfather (Henry Heinlein), Maternal Grandparents (Kenneth and Janice Cochran), daughters (Leilani Marie and Callie Ann), aunts and uncles, cousins, and many other family members and friends. He was raised in San Diego, California as a child and lived in Guam and Hawaii before moving to Port Saint Lucie, FL in 2000.

Many knew him as an amazing father and his biggest accomplishment in life was his two daughters, Leilani Marie and Callie Ann. He is “Poppa Bear” and did anything for them. He loved his children with his whole heart. He was often seen in pictures with his daughters so full of life, being goofy, or spreading the message of “Peace and Love”. He had a smile that would light up the room especially when his daughters were around. He loved to spend time with family in general.

Not only was he an amazing father, but he was a giver. TeeJay had the biggest heart of anyone. Always willing to go the extra mile, it didn’t matter the circumstances. He was always there to lend a hand. Listen when you needed to be listened to. A shoulder to lean on. He walked to his own beat and wanted to spread positivity to everyone he touched.

He was a Welder in Palm Beach, Florida and worked for the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters & A/C Technicians Local Union 630 (Palm Beach County) where he started his career as an apprentice. He worked his way through the years and perfected his craft. He always said he had the “golden arm”. Welding was his passion for work. He made a lifetime career as he went to the Union for schooling and was currently working as a Foreman at John J. Kirlin, LLC.

His family and friends are extremely devastated with his death and he will forever be in their hearts, thoughts, and prayers. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched in any way are invited to the Aycock at Tradition Funeral Home located at 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port Saint Lucie, Florida on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 4:00pm-9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Lucie Catholic Church located at 425 SW Irving Street, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34983 on Friday, February 14, 2020.

I have always had a close bond to you. You accepted me like one of the guys at bowling and like my girly self as you always said to me when we were out of the bowling alley. We never skipped a beat. We talked on the phone like you were one of the girls. You protected me, checked on me, made sure Chuckie kept himself together through the tough times. You will have a special place in our ❤️‘S forever and we will make sure your memory lives on. Not a day will go by that we won’t think about you. Love always....Rest Easy in Paradise, Until we meet again

I met Teejay in high school through my older brother who had same classes as him. We all attended slw centennial. He was always goofing around and if you were ever having a bad day he was the one who was always there to cheer you up. After moving from PSL we lost contact but finding out about his passing really hit home. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and daughters. He was soo young and soo full of life. He will always be missed that’s for sure. Teejay wherever you are now I just wish for you to finally rest in peace and continue to shine with your bright smile up above. May god be with you always and take care of your loved ones down here. You will be missed forever!! RIP

I met TeeJay through my daughter Justine at Shindigs one night. His personality stood out to me in the big crowd of the children there the night before Thanksgiving, they all gathered to be together to celebrate being back home for the holidays from college or wherever they came back from. These kids have a strong bond. TeeJay expressed his love for his daughters to me one day at Dillard's and all that had transpired in his life, and his goals for his family. He opened up to me in a way I did not expect. I am truly blessed that I had the opportunity to get to spend the little bit of time getting to know how much he cared for his girls.
My condolences to those that love TeeJay, may God help you get through this unexpected tough time.

I only knew Teejay through his best friend...his sister Dana. There was so much love between them; family was always first. Condolences to Dana, his mom and dad, his daughters, and the rest of his family.

I am so sorry for the loss of TeeJay! My prayers are with all of his family and friends! TeeJay was a friend to me and was such a bright soul! He was always cracking a joke, laughing, and would have given the shirt off his back to a complete stranger! I have such fun memories with TeeJay and he will forever be missed! He called me his Agent and I called him Scuba, just a couple of nicknames that came about while cracking jokes, that literally stuck with us through the years. Sometimes we would go a while without talking, but would always pick right back up as if no time had passed at all! That’s just how our friendship was, easy and fun, those are the memories that will always make me smile! May he Rest In Peace and always shine his light over all of you!
