As football season rolled around I thought of you my friend. I know how big of a Cowboys fan you were. After the Panthers win this week and hearing of our next opponent (Dallas), I again thought of you and went to your facebook page. After arriving there and going down your page, to my shock, I learned that you were no longer with us. I pray special prayers for your husband, children, and also extended family and friends. I met you back at SAFB when you were a Drill Instructor and I was a Drill Sergeant for the Army. I never imagined our bubbly rivalry to extend beyond that duty location. I hate that our families never connected more. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Heartbroken is all I can say at this time because I had no idea.

You were a blessing in disguise .... you taught me the value of marriage.  Not a day goes by I don't think about you and the kids , Romello, Alexis,  Ronald, Alicia....

I met Yolandra through my best friend, Diana who is the cousin of her husband. I didn't know that there was anyone as sweet , kind, and strong as my bestie until I met Yolandra and I was even mad that she too very close with Diana. My greatest memory of Yolandra was the "Grown Girls Pajama party" for Diana's birthday. Lots of fun!!
I pray her soul is at peace knowing she left behind the goodness most people never get to know. God bless her entire family.


My deepest sympathy to YoYo’s family.  I had the utmost respect for her as a leader for the Airmen in Training at our Field Training Detachment in Charleston SC, and even more respect for her as a wonderful human being.  She was one of the nicest and caring people  I’ve had the pleasure of serving with.  Rest In Peace, TSgt Cobb.

I was blessed to have met Yolandra and given  the opportunity to know this beautiful heart and soul.  She made an enormous impact in my life.  I will  miss her morning calls/texts 💔  You were an inspiration to so many of us.  You may be gone in body but you will forever live in my heart. We went through so much together starting at Minot AFB. God put you in my life for a reason. We had so much in common that at times we wonder if it was real.  My dear friend, sister, you will be missed. May our loving God wrap His arms around your family.

 Thank You for giving such an opportunity to work beside you and be part of your Team.  We meet physically only once, but that, COVID and social distancing were not an impediment to us to develop such a good relationship.  Our communication was always present even when you were not physically at work.  You taught me, you guide me and such much in this little time that we work together that I will always will be Thankful for that; you also knew when we were in need of someone to talk and just vent and there were you all the time to hear us and give us some advise.    We  lost a wonderful Leader, a GREAT Boss and a Friend.

I had the distinct honor and privilege to have served as Yolandra’s Squadron Commander at Minot AFB, ND around 2000. Although she was very young, she always handled herself like a seasoned professional. In fact, her actions to break through a wall to isolate an electrical overheat condition saved one of our multimillion dollar facilities.  But most important, she always wore a beautiful smile and positive attitude, no matter the situation or conditions.  Thank you to all those family and friends who encouraged and supported her military service to our great nation.  She certainly had a positive impact to many airmen, to include those entrusted with her as part of the unit. May God rest her soul...”we have the watch.”

I met this wonderful woman in our fathers house . We became instantly family . We cried together, we worshipped together and oh how we loved together . You have made such remarkable impact on me and our families . You are so missed . I love you sis and I am so thankful that our father brought us together . One day sis we will be together again . Selfishly I am so sad to not hear your voice or read your text or hug you . Please know that your imprint in this world is forever etched in so many hearts ! 

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family on the loss of such a wonderful person who touched the lives of so many at the Honeywell Anniston site. No matter what situation came about Yolandra always kept that inspiring smile and she was loved by so many. Deeply sadden to hear the loss. God bless!

It’s hard to speak on such an occasion as this. Throughout our younger years you were lovingly nicknamed Boo. As we became teenagers, you evolved into Yolandra. Yolandra was my very first friend, my cousin (on both sides), and my Godsister. We did almost everything together until you graduated and went into the Air Force. We went from ice skating on ponds, to weekends at NaNa’s, watching wrestling (& pretending we were wrestlers), cheerleading at the playground, & everything in between....we were inseparable. I have so many precious memories to cherish. You were always such a beautiful person (inside and out). Heartfelt prayers of comfort and strength to Michael & the kids, Barbara (Billie), Michael (Angela), our entire family & friends that held Yolandra dear to the heart. You will truly be missed. I love you from day1, yesterday, today, tomorrow, & forever💕

Especially, your Air Force picture that was in aunt Ginny's (her grandmother) house and think to myself I'm going into the Air Force. I looked up to you. You was one of the cool cousins from South Hill to me. A little kid from D.C.. You will be missed. Love you Yolandra!

😔 I still can't believe you're gooone. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and that holds true for you my dear. You were and will always remain my best friend. You were also a child of God's, my children's godmother, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin, and a retired veteran who mastered and rocked all of those roles! God couldn't have blessed me/us with a better person to help and support us through good and bad times in life. You were selfless. Thank you for always being there when we all needed you, especially my children "your babies" as you called them, when we needed you and when we didn't. You were always there. Thank you for sharing the wisdom and knowledge that you possessed with me and so many others. You truly exemplified "Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all you did!" I know death is inevitable but it doesnt make the hurt any less painful especially knowing that I won't hear you call me and say "WHAT IT DO" anymore. 🥺😌(bittersweet chuckle) Well, you've earned the wings of ALL wings my sister! The children and I will miss you and will always love you. I know I will see you again! I don't know where to start, all the blessings if wisdom and prayers you shared with myself and my boys.  To be there with Jordan as he took his first breath of life. My heart is saddened to hear of such a wonderful person passing away. Yet I find peace in knowing that she's just asleep resting in the arms of our LORD and savior Jesus Christ.  Yolandra will be missed. We grew up in the same close knit neighborhood where everyone knew, loved and took care of everyone.  You fought a good fight my dear sister. Rest easy.

The Park View Class of 91 sends our Condolences to the Family of Yolandra.  Landra as we fondly called her as a classmate was always known for her loving smile! Landra will be missed greatly.
