Westbrook- Andrew James Minervino, 38, passed away on July 7, 2018. Andrew was born in Portland, Maine on August 10, 1979, a son of Stephen L. and Julia A. (Freeman) Minervino. He grew up in Portland and attended school in East Deering and later in the West End. He was currently attending SMCC in his final year.
Despite a lifelong battle with mental illness, Andrew lived a full and meaningful life. His spiritual journey led him to touch many people's lives, from Maine to New York to Australia, and he will be remembered for his sweet, sincere nature and his wonderful hugs.
Andrew was predeceased by his father, Stephen L. Minervino. He is survived by his mother, Julia A. Minervino; sisters, Kelly Minervino Clarke and Laura Minervino; sister-in-law, Robin Elliott; brother-in-law, Jay Clarke; two nieces who adored him, Abby and Ellen Clarke; a large extended family, and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 3-7 pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Jones Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, July 18th at St. Anthony’s Parish, 268 Brown St. in Westbrook.
