

Anna Marie Ciccarelli, age 77 of Lisbon Falls formerly of Portland passed away peacefully at her residence Sunday morning April 3, 2016 with complications from Alzheimer’s disease with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 27, 1938 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Ignazio and Gilda DiCrecchio Maiorano. Anna graduated from Portland High School and Maine Medical Center’s School of Nursing. She later would attend the University of Southern Maine where she graduated with her B.S. degree in nursing.
She married Guy Ciccarelli, Jr., at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on September 26, 1959, and had two children Guy, III and Maria.
Anna worked at Maine Medical Center in the Labor and Delivery Unit for 40 years until her retirement in 2000. She thoroughly enjoyed and thrived at her job, and felt honored and awed to have participated in over 7000 births. She also attended the deliveries of all of her six grandchildren.
She enjoyed knitting, and baking Italian cookies for Christmas, and for the St. Peter’s Rocco Italian Bazaar. Most importantly to Anna was spending precious time with her grandchildren whom she adored.
In later years, Anna enjoyed traveling every winter with her husband to Spring Hills, FL. They took a beautiful tour of Europe, Italy being her favorite trip. Monthly excursions to Foxwoods via bus was also another favorite trip.
Anna was a lifelong faithful communicant at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic minister.
Anna will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is deeply loved and will be sadly missed.
Anna leaves her beloved husband of 57 years, Guy, Jr of Lisbon Falls, a son Guy, III and his wife Melissa Ciccarelli of Lisbon Falls, a daughter, Maria and her husband Joseph “Joe” Murphy of Falmouth, Grandchildren; Anthony, Annalyse, Alysha, Shannon, Summer, Joey and Caroline, Sister, Isabel and her husband Tom DeLuca, and sister-in-law Marie O’Connell all of Portland, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Friday April 8, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St, Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 9, 2016 at 10am at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Federal St, Portland.
